The Vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA),George Afriyie has been removed from office following a decision from the Executive Committee of the Association.

A new Vice President will be announced soon, the GFA has said.

It is not clear what could have triggered Mr Afriyie’s oust, but it is believed the development is in relation with his declaration to contest the 2019 GFA elections.

GFA President Kwasi Nyantakyi has publicly announced his decision not to contest for the position for the fourth time.
