Government yet to Pay FA workers three months salary

Government of Ghana has not Paid the salaries of the GFA staff for the past three months, Power Sports sources can confirm.

Since the FA secretariat was declared a crime scene four months ago by the government following the Anas Number12 Expose, the government of Ghana decided to pay workers of the FA.

But according to our checks and close sources, government only paid the month of June salaries of the workers and since then July, August and September are yet to be paid and nothing concrete has been said to the workers to know Government’s direction as far as their Salaries are concern.

The FA staff are currently working at the Normalization Committee president Dr. Kofi Amoah’s own business building called CitizenKofi at Osu because the FA secretariat is still closed down due to a cleanup exercise which is taking place.

Power Sports understand it will take about two weeks before the facility will be ready for the FA workers including the Normalization Committee for use.

On 13th September, FIFA announced a four member Normalization Committee to run the affairs of the FA. The announcement was made at the secretariat and that was the first time the edifice was opened to the media for an official duty after it was declared a crime scene on 8th June,2018.

The Normalization Committee and FA staff have to wait till the next two weeks before they can use the Secretariat. Power Sports can also reveal that they do conduct meetings at the same CitizenKofi.
