Power 97.9 FM Introduces New Gospel Programmes


Accra based Power 97.9 FM has introduced a new programmes dubbed ‘Heavens Train (Osoro Keteke)’  and Power Friday Night Prayer ( Power Prayer )a live gospel program, to inform, educate and entertain its cherished listeners.

The ‘Heavens Train (Osoro Keteke) will be aired on every Saturday afternoon at 3pm-6pm. and Power Prayer on friday 11pm-6am

‘Heavens Train’, will also seek to uncover a wide range of issues confronting the Body of Christ.

It will also feature renowned Gospel personalities and resource persons who will delve deeper into the issues to bring the needed detail to listeners.

Listeners will be given the opportunity to contribute to the programme and also give the critical support to make the programme a success.

Host of the program, Godfred Dankwah Jnr, affectionately called Man Godee De- Authentic Man told Power News that based on the station’s commitment to changing the trend of radio broadcasting in the country this year, the management of the station has put in a number of educative and entertaining programmes to educate and entertain its listeners.

He added that the goal of the station is to make its listeners recognize it as a viable and sustainable music-oriented station in Ghana today. 

Heaven’s Train ( Osoro Keteke)
This programme is a 3-hour Gospel radio programme on Power 97.9FM that focuses on the The Body of Christ. It seeks to enlighten all stakeholders; Music pastors, Praise and worship leaders, the congregation and church in general about the Whys, Whats, Whens and Hows of the ministry.

The programme would feature some renowned resource persons, who would discuss well researched topics relating to the ministry.
There would also be a practical segment, where invited guests will give illustrations to back their points.

To keep the programme interactive and potentially marketable, it would involve questions, comments, testimonies and suggestions from listeners via social media platforms and phone-in segments.

Religious Programmes seek to reflect the full diversity of religious practice and experience in Ghana.

we aim to include Christian worship from different communities and denominations all over the country. We also hope to mark at least some of the significant festivals of other faiths and to reflect their place in today’s Ghana.
