Officials from the Criminal Investigative Department (CID) of the Ghana police Service have picked up deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidohu.
Power fm News’ Prince reports from the Press Centre that the NDC executives were holding a press conference “when the officials stormed the place”and demanded that Koku Anyidohu follows them.
The venue turned chaotic when Koku resisted the order and said he would rather report himself than enter their vehicle.
Some NDC sympathisers who were at the press centre amidst noise followed Mr Anyidohu who walked together with the General secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah to the police headquarters.
His invitation follows some comments he made regarding the US-Ghana military cooperation that was ratified in Parliament last Friday.
Mr Anyidohu is reported to has warned that the move by President Akufo-Addo to sign the deal is a sign that his administration will soon be overthrown.
