Chiefs and people of Ablekuma West Constituency in the Greater Accra Region have lauded Rev Kweku Addo, the parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for his continuous show of love and care to the plights of the people.
Among these people were leading traditional rulers, drivers’ unions, market women, fisher folks and opinion leaders who cut across the political divide in the constituency who could no longer hide their joy showered praises on Rev Kweku Addo for his tremendous care and affections towards the residents of the constituency.
The beauty about the NDC candidate donation, the beneficiaries proudly pointed out, was the nonpartisan approach to his donations in the constituency. They described the gesture as timely as it would mitigate the difficulties they face at this pressing time.
From Good Friday through Holy Saturday to Easter Sunday, the Ablekuma West NDC candidate, in his usual show of love and care for the people of the constituency, went round to share thousands pack of food and bags of water among others. These included over 600 packs of food for breakfast and over 700 packs of food for lunch. Others were 500 packs of snack and 350 bags of sachet water to the deprived communities across the constituency.
Additionally, more than 500 children benefited from the gesture the man of God has extended to them in the constituency.
The electoral areas these beneficiary communities situated included Shaibu and its environs, Mpoase, Gbebu and Glefe. The rest were Mampose, Otodjor, Nassarawa-Oriesco, Ga Many3, Opeitekwe and Tunga.
Few weeks ago, Rev Kweku Addo donated assorted items to the Dansoman Police Station, Royal Clinic in Glefe, Drivers’ Unions, Dansoman Community Market among others to help in the fight against Coronavirus (COVID-19) that is wreaking havoc on human lives.
These assorted items included 150 veronica buckets, over 200 hands sanitizers, collection of liquid soups, packs of tissue papers and packs of bottle water.
Meanwhile, the NDC parliamentary candidate has programmed to meet over 500 widows and widowers and the aged soon. He is also considering a package for the Dansoman Policlinic very soon.
In the wake of the lockdown directed by the World Health Organisation and reinforced by President Nana Akufo-Addo, following the outbreak of the COVID-19, lives in Ghana have become hellish to cope with in that the pandemic has disrupted economic activities of everyone.
Ablekuma West Constituency is no exception as many families and individuals in some communities are hard hit because the government has to take tougher measures to contain the deadly virus in order to save human lives.
Rev Kweku Addo shares in the problems the constituents would face in this trying time, having felt the economic hardship that would confront the people in the constituency and severe hunger that would knock at the doors of the needy in the communities, hence his moves to put a smile on the faces of the people.
