A National Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Said Sinare has admonished members of his party to be vigilant on the day of elections to secure a victory for the umbrella family.
The former Ghana Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, who was speaking at the inauguration of the NDC Zongo Caucus campaign team in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, noted victory beckoned for the NDC, adding ” it will only take hardwork to win the elections.”
“We are to go out there and work hard to get people to believe in the NDC’s agenda of job creation and good governance that will transform the lives of Ghanaians,” Sinare told his kinsmen on Friday.
The NDC has said it poised to make President Akufo-Addo of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) a one time president, after he won the 2016 polls with about one million votes.
Alhaji Sinare believes the NPP lied it’s way into power by tagging former president John Mahama as corrupt and incompetent and hot Ghanaians to admit it. However, he said the NPP led by Nana Akufo-Addo has been exposed by their inability to deliver what they promised Ghanaians, particularly in the area of corruption fight and good governance.
‘We have to focus so well on the elections because basically, elections are won from the polling stations. We have to be interested in how the ballots are protected,” he said as he urged the team to also intensify campaign in the constituency.
The inauguration was attended by the Ayawaso West Wuogon NDC Chairman, Bismark A. Ayittey, the Parliamentary Candidate, John Dumelo and other constituency and branch executives.
In his speech, John Dumelo assured the team of his support and commitment to take over the Zongo communities in the area.
