League leaders Berekum Chelsea were shocked by regional rivals Bechem United, losing 1-2 in the Match Day Seven of the ongoing Ghana Premier League at Bechem.
The entertaining match saw the Bechem lads going into the lead courtesy Hafiz Konkoni’s header in the second minute.
The celebrations were cut short when Chelsea got the equaliser through an own goal from captain Kofi Agbesimah when goalkeeper Prince Asempa failed to stop a back pass.
But Prince Kwabena Adu restored the lead via a fine header from a corner kick delivered by Emmanuel Atta Nyama before the end of the first half.
The defeat pushed Chelsea to the second position in the Ghana Premier League with 14 points.
Elsewhere, Kofi Kordzi ensured Hearts snatched all the three points and improve on the league ladder when they defeated Dreams FC 1-0 at the Dawu Theater of Dreams Park.
The Phobians dominated the game and deservedly won the match. They moved to the 10th position with 10 points.
In the top of the table clash, Aduana Stars pipped third placed Meadeama at the Dormaa Ahenkro Park.
A late strike by veteran Yahya Mohammed gave them all the three points in the top of the table clash.
They are now top of the league table with 15points.
In Kumasi, Asante Kotoko could not continue their recent form when they held by Liberty Professionals at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Tamimu Muntari scored first for the scientific soccer lads in the 56th minute but the Porcupine Warriors got the important equaliser in the 85th minute through William Opoku Mensah.
Kotoko are now 5th with 13 points.
In other matches, WAFA stunned Great Olympics 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium, whilst Ashgold beat Dwarfs 1-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.
