Food Poisoning: All 35 Oti Boateng SHS Students Discharged From Hospital

Latest reports received from our correspondent in the Eastern Region is that all the thirty-five Oti Boateng Senior High School students hospitalised as a result of food poisoning, have been treated and discharged.

Thirteen of them were discharged before mid-day yesterday (May, 16) while the rest were discharged in the evening.

At the Regional Hospital, the students were seen waiting for a school vehicle to pick them back to school.

Teams from the New Juaben Municipal Health Directorate and the Regional Directorate of the Food and Drugs Authority are investigating the cause of the food poisoning which sent thirty five of the students to the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua for medical treatment.

The teams are expected to finish with their reports and brief the media later.
