Ghana’s COVID-19 Cases Cross 3,000

Ghana has recorded 372 more Coronavirus cases, jumping the total case count to 3,091.

According to the Ghana Health Service (GHS) that reported the latest cases, a total of 137,924 tests have been done so far.

As of May 7, 2020, nine more patients had recovered from their illness and discharged making the total number of recoveries 303, with the death toll still 18.

The Bono region is the latest of the 16 regions to record its first case, according to the new records of the GHS.

The Savannah, Ahafo and Bono East remain the only regions in Ghana yet to record a case.

Greater Accra Region – 2,579

Ashanti Region – 165

Eastern Region – 95

Western North Region – 56

Central Region – 50

Western Region – 32

Volta Region – 30

Upper East Region – 26

Oti Region – 23

Upper West Region – 19

Northern Region – 13

North East Region – 2

Bono Region – 1
