Help Us Arrest NPP Treasurer’s Killer – Takoradi Police

The Western Regional Police Commander, DCOP Redeemer Vincent Dedjoe, has appealed to the general public to assist them with credible information that will lead to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect who shot and killed the governing New Patriotic Party’s Takoradi Constituency Treasurer, Mark Yaw Ofori.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Empire FM’s Emmanuel Ohene-Gyan, DCOP Redeemer Vincent Dedjoe disclosed that preliminary investigations revealed that the assailants killed a security man before proceeding to the late Mark Ofori’s residence to shoot him four times before his untimely death

“The police administration will reward anyone who will assist us arrest the suspect, if they don’t trust my subordinates, they walk straight to me. One of the most important thing we will request from the public so far as the killing of Mark is concerned is to give us credible information to clip the perpetrators of this heinous crime,” he added and further revealed the perpetrator was a lone ranger, ” from eyewitnesses account and those who accosted the assailant said he was a lone ranger”.

The Takoradi Constituency Treasurer of the ruling NPP, Mark Ofori was allegedly shot dead in his house at Fijai a suburb in Sekondi by some unknown assailants Tuesday night.

The death of the treasurer has thrown the party into shock of shock, grief and mourning as various social media platforms has been awash with condolences to the NPP and his relatives.

DCOP Redeemer Vincent Dedjoe revealed that prior to the killing of Mark the perpetrator also killed a security man on duty at the Regional Minister’s in-law’s residence which was about one hundred meters away from the treasure’s house.

“You see the area was a new developing area and illumination to is was very poor but I can assure you we will get to the button of this heinous crime, I want to assure the public that they should not panic at all, we are on top our game this is an isolated case,” he noted.
