All Regional Youth Organisers of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have thrown support behind the ‘March for Justice’ demonstration.
The protest which is expected to take place in the national capital, Accra, on July 6, 2021, is to get authorities to thoroughly investigate and prosecute persons who are linked to the death of a social activist, Ibrahim Mohammed, also known as Kaaka, who was murdered at Ejura.
The death led to angry protests in Ejura in the Ashanti region last Tuesday which led to a clash between the civilians and a joint military and police task force.
Reacting to the approval of the demonstration after an earlier denial, the 16 Youth Organisers in a statement have expressed commitment to the protest.
Below is the statement.
