The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Ledzokuku, Ben Ayiku Narh has been commended by the youth of Teshie for his role in meeting the bail conditions of some ten (10) who were arrested earlier this week.
The persons including a female who trooped onto the streets of Teshie to celebrate “Kpanshimo,” a form of carnival, as part of the Homowo celebration were arrested and arraigned before an Accra Circuit Court for what police described as a flout of the COVID-19 safety protocols.
The accused who appeared before the court on Thursday had to fall on Mr Ayiku Narh to help them meet their bail conditions.
“Mr Ayiku and his lawyers came to ours rescue and made sure our brothers were granted bail,” one of the youth members said “We now know we have a dedicated leader who stand for the youth.”
He was also praised for his philanthropic activities in the constituency spanning several years.
The court presided over by Mrs. Evelyn Asamoah admitted them to bail in the sum of GH¢15,000.00 each with two sureties each. They are expected to reappear on August 31.
