‘NPP, Remember That Empty Barrels Make The Loudest Noise’ – Archimedes

“Obstinacy and vehemence in my opinion are the surest proof of stupidity”
– (Bernard Barton, English Poet)

Unless majority of ardent supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) especially those who claim to be “sophisticated” and otherwise “educated” have been vaccinated and numbed by a copious lifetime dose of “mental anesthesia” then it’s safe to conclude that NPP folks are not only simpletons, but are a unique homogenous breed of Ghanaians who share a common trait of possessing pliable brains which they have surrendered to the likes of Chairman Wontumi and Abronye DC. And, after surrendering and parting with their mental faculties, behave as if they have been brainwashed; they incessantly defend NPP foibles confirming them to be zombies who cannot think or discern anything for themselves, and who otherwise swallow hook, line and sinker, NPP propaganda believing it to be gospel truth.

It is shocking that the NPP as a political party has the majority of its members behave as if the party is an Asylum hospice and refuge for people suffering from mild to acute forms of “Bipolar Disease” and this may perhaps explain why in the party, lying and peddling falsehood comes as second nature. NPP politicians and supporters feel so emboldened and behave haughtily when lying and do so with such brazen gusto that it is no laughing matter. No wonder Nana Akufo-Addo defies conventional wisdom where older persons past the Biblical three score plus ten age are perceived to become more honest, penitent and truthful and ever mindful of their eminent appointment date at the judgement seat of God, and become more contrite and truthful in their actions and pronouncements.

In Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Nana Addo chose a complementary partner who like himself is a seasoned pathological liar. Before the glare of GBC TV cameras at the 2012-2013 Election Petition and before the good people of Ghana and the world at large and having sworn on the Quran, he profusely lied under oath with brief momentary interludes when he paused as if to catch his breath by resorting to the refrain “You and I were not there”.“In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king” – (Desiderius Erasmus, Dutch Philosopher)
Today I am appealing to the Chiefs of Walewale, the Bawumia Head of Family, and Bawumia’s kith and kin to join hands and help save their kinsman, Bawumia, from public ridicule and thereby protect the image and reputation of the ancestral land of Walewale or otherwise risk being labelled Walewale Pinocchio. This is my humble plea and must not be construed as an insult calculated to smear the proud people of Walewale with the tag and opprobrium of citadel of liars. On the contrary it hurts me so much that Nana Akufo-Addo and his Akyem Cabal are using and abusing Dr. Bawumia and have made him cannon fodder and a poster boy for public ridicule by using him to spew and peddle lies in jest.

From the 2016 election campaign “Distinguished Speaker presentations” and subsequent “tales of NPP achievements”, Dr. Bawumia is being used and set-up for a spectacular fall from grace and should never dream that NPP will one day allow him to contest as their presidential candidate. “The dumbest people I know are those who know it all” – (Malcom Forbes, American Entrepreneur)

For NPP supporters who somehow imbibed and embellished their 2016 election campaign tagging of John Dramani Mahama and NDC as incompetent and corrupt, I kindly urge you to wake up from your Rip Van Winkle sleep and slumber because it is rather NPP that has displayed through their acts of plagiarism starting from the 7 January 2017.

From the inaugural speech, hijacking of various projects initiated and implemented by NDC and sometimes even replacing the John Mahama inaugural plaques with Nana Akufo-Addo plaques that were used to commission the commencement of the projects, and the incessant resort to blaming John Mahama and NDC for every challenge they encounter as if John Agyekum-Kufuor passed on a baton of only assets with no liabilities to President John Atta-Mills (Asomdweehene), the NPP have proved beyond every doubt they are the ones who are incompetent.

On the subject of corruption thankfully after 7 December 2020 the truth behind PDS, Agyapa Royalties and all the monumental corruption scandals involving the family and friends nepotism will be brought bare for public scrutiny, and Ghanaians should be mindful that unlike 7 January 2009, there will be no “Father for all Asomdweehene” amnesty. Some of us will ensure that justice is served whether or not JM and Prof Nana Opoku-Agyemang endorse it or not.

The laws of Ghana must apply to Nana Akufo-Addo “the tyrant” and his nepotism and cronyism cabal, so that Ghana’s judicial establishment will be free of the Damocles’ sword he is wielding over their neck compelling them to give rulings that has led many Ghanaians to question their impartiality as custodians of justice.

To my friends in the NPP, please save your political party from ignominy at the hands of the Akyem Kyebi mafia whilst remembering that “empty barrels make the loudest noise” for very soon it will no longer be very unattractive to publicly present yourself as an NPP supporter.

“He who knows and knows that he knows is a wise man – follow him; he who knows not and knows not that he knows not is a fool – shun him” – (Confucius, Chinese Philosopher)
