The Paramount Chief of Navrongo, Pe Dennis Aneakwoa Balinia Adda, has ordered for shop owners to participate in clean up exercises in the area.
According to Pe Adda, it is not upright for shop owners to neglect such exercises for other workers to clean gutters and clear filth in front of shops.
“Municipal, you must make sure that next time all shop owners participate in the clean up exercise, why should they stay at home for Zoomlion workers to clean for them” he told Power FM News Editor Daakyehene Ofosu Agyeman.
The Chief made the call during the second phase of national clean up exercise in the Kassena Nankana Municipality in the Upper East Region.
He further revealed his only worry was that the people of Navrongo do not wear face masks to help curb the spread of COVID-19.
“My problem is that my people are not wearing the nose masks because they think the pandemic is not serious here as in Accra and Kumasi” he lamented.
