Pastors Urged To Live By The Word Of God

Power 97.9 FM presenter, Godfred Darkwah Jnr., is cautioning pastors in the country to live by the word of God.

In the second episode of his sermon titled  ‘Exceptional 2020’, he mentioned that Christians should stick to the word of God.

“What governs our life is the word of God so if you want 2020 to be exceptional you must allow yourself to be governed by the word of God. Paul told Timothy study to show thyself approve.” He said.

He indicated that pastors should refrain from abusing the office they hold because they will account for it.

“Preach the word of God. Let’s the people understand the word of God” he said on his Heavens Train show on Sunday monitored by myxyzonline.com.

“The word will change your life” he added

Known as Man Godee stated that prosperity messages have dominated the sermons of Ghanaian pastors and it is worrying.

He wondered why pastors are drifting from the true word of God.

Having played a video of the head pastor of the Zoe Outreach Chapel, Pastor Kelvin Kobiri, where he rained curses on his junior pastors for quitting his church with some church members, Man Godee reprimanded the man of God.

He stated unambitiously that the pulpit is not meant for such purposes and that the pastor goofed.

“A pastor who is supposed to preach the good news he’s misusing the pulpit. Cursing his congregants.” Man Godee lamented.

“What governs our life is the word of God so if you want 2020 to be exceptional you must allow yourself to be governed by the word of God. Paul told Timothy study to show thyself approve’

He went on to advice Christians to seek the word of God to save themselves from being misled by some so-called clergymen.

“You need the word of God. You need the Bible. If the word is in you who is that to destroy you’

The ‘Son of the Prophet’ in his ending remarks quoted Colossians 3:16 which reads “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and sing Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God” and said pastors should live by the word of God.
