Yaw Sarpong of the Asomafo Band is planning to rope in dancehall and reggae musician Shatta Wale for a song.
Mr. Sarpong disclosed in a yet-to-be aired interview with Agyemang Prempeh on personality-based television show which projects distinguished personalities, who have weathered through the impediments of life, and excelled in the creative, arts, and tourism industry on TV XYZ —- Legends
According to the gospel singer, he will be collaborating with Shatta Wale, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah Mensah after he is done with his 26th studio album.
Yaw Sarpong has recorded a number of songs with secular musicians in the country such as Kofi Kinaata, Samini, and Sarkodie.
He’s currently recording with Stonebwoy and Abrantie Amakye Dede. The songs will be on his forthcoming album.
Whilst on the Legends show he was asked why he hasn’t featured the head honcho of the Shatta Movement Empire on any song yet.
“I have plans for Shatta [Wale] to record with him. But where this emerged from if I say I will record wurh them all I might loose some [files] I planned and God willing after the release of this album I will do a song wurh Shatta,” Yaw Sarpong answered.
The legendary gospel singer intimated that he has not recruited any gospel musician for his twenty-six album because it is, “God’s decision”
